A good start for Canadians on the first day of World Cup Miami. Aside from the event hosts, Canadians represent the largest contingent of
sailors in Miami and their presence was well established today. The Canucks took advantage of a day of champagne sailing (moderate breeze in sunny skies) and positioned themselves well upon the leaderboard . The Laser and Radial Canadian teams were armed today, scoring bullets in both classes. Isabella Bertold (BC) came out of the gate very strong in her first race of the event, commanding a significant lead and winning her first race with confidence. She currently sits in 2nd position behind Cagla Donertas from Turkey. Erin Rafuse from Nova Scotia rounds out the top 10 in the Radial today.
