A light day of southerly breeze starting at 7 knots that built to 10 towards the middle of the afternoon, remaining patchy and creating trickyerin_rafuse_b racing conditions for the 2nd day of racing at the 43rd Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia Regatta. Canadians had some consistent sailing and some challenges throughout the day. 2 races were held across the board except for 49ers who cleared 3 races.

Top scores come from Star team Clarke/Bjorn who put up 10, 2, moving the up to 4th overall and only 2 points out of 2nd place. "Better day but still not perfect." Clarke blogs. "The word for tomorrow is consolidation. If we start to loose a boat or two because of a bad position, get out of that position sooner rather than later." The NZL team Pepper/Turner hold down the lead with a 3 point lead over 2nd place Spanish team Echavarri/Rodriguez Rivero.

Chris Cook continues to make his comeback in the Finn class posting another solid day of results (10, 4). Moving him up to 7th, a mere 3 points away from 5th place. Greg Douglas is working hard to break through the top 20, sitting in 23rd overall. GBR's Ainslie continues to dominate the top of the Finn leaderboard.

Paul Tingley is creeping up the 2.4mR leaderboard in 7th with a 4,5 on the day.

There were some upsets on the Radial course today. 40 sailors went to the wrong mark and as a result, only six sailors completed the race while the rest DQ'd. Erin Rafuse leads the Canadian Radials with a 13, 15 on the day, moving her up to 13th. Bertold fell victim to the pack and moved down to 41st overall. Marit Boumeester currently holds down 1st place, tied for points with Spain's Alicia Cebrian.
