Greg started sailing when he was 8 years old at the Island Yacht Club in Toronto. Since then he has moved through the Canadian youth circuit during which time he was able to capture a Youth National Champion title in the Byte (2005) and finished 2nd at Youth Nationals in the Laser Radial the following year (2006).
