Brian Todd

Brian Todd has been coaching with CYA for 12 years however did some contract coaching with the CST Windsurfing from 1983 - 1987. Brian has been coaching on and off since 1977.

Major Games Coaching History

1 Olympics – 1 Pan Am Games – Bronze in Windsurfing -  1 Paralympics – Gold and Bronze 

Other Major Games:

5 Canada games – 1 of those Skiing -  Medals in all of the Sailing Games he has coached except for 1984 Olympics

Highlight career moments:

Helping Danielle Dube get on the Olympic team, podiums at Youth Worlds, IFDS Worlds along with the his two great sons Peter and Michael and “wife for life” Nancy. 

"Personally, my 4 years on CST in the Finn class provided the foundation for my future, I was part of a great team of guys that pushed each other to establish a long period of successful Finn sailors in Canada, that is still running today."

Along with sailing Brian is very involved with skiing, coached race teams and developed programs for many years, now he organizes Masters events on the weekends when he is in town. He love cycling as it is a perfect fit for sail training as it is best (easiest) when there is no wind.
