The Canadian men’s Star team, Richard Clarke and Tyler Bjorn were disappointed on Saturday
when their shot at a top three finish was stripped due to equipment failure. After the first windward mark, in 20 knots of breeze the tiller of their brand new star let go, forcing the guys to pull out of the race, finishing 7th overall. They now have a well deserved 5 day break before their final intensive 3 week training campaign going into the Olympic Games. Congrats to the team from Ireland for taking gold at the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta, we’ll meet them again at the Games!
