the mandate is to recognize and honour the names and the accomplishments of individuals who have brought fame to the community of Whitby and to themselves through their athletic prowess and contributions to sport.
A member of the Canadian Sailing Team since 1997 Chris has earned numerous achievements in sailing including five top ten finishes in his Finn Class at the Open Finn Gold Cup (6th in 2001, 3rd in 2005, 9th in 2006, 7th in 2007, and 6th in 2008).
Chris was also the North American Champion in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009, was awarded Sail Canada Male Athlete of the Year in 2001, and Canadian Rolex Sailor of the Year in 2005. In 2005 Chris achieved a world ranking of 2nd in the Finn Class.
